Conveyor Rollers
To ensure the maximum performance capabilities of conveyor rollers a conveyor belt should maintain the stable flow of material with correct belt alignment. Also the operating conditions should be as clean as possible, and skirting seals need to be monitored and maintained effectively. Belt cleaning systems should be installed and self-cleaning idler devices should be utilised to reduce carryback.
Conveyor rollers will eventually need to be replaced being limited to the bearing life. To combat the difficulty and time taken in changing a roller, change outs should be replaced with retractable idler frames in confined spaces. This reduces the effort needed to slide the idler out for replacement.
Kinder offers an extensive range of high performance and reliable conveyor components and equipment. K-Polymer® Conveyor Rollers are lightweight (approximately 50% that of steel), they are engineered using modern polymer and fibre (HDPE) materials to substantially out last steel.
Many conveyed materials can adhere to the underside of the conveyor belt which results in carryback build up on the roller shell causing belt tracking problems on the conveyor. Our current range of K-Rubber Lagged Stel Trough/Return Rollers can help prevent this.
As well as reducing carryback build up on roller shells, it’s recommended that rubber covered rollers be installed on both trough and return belt tracking devices to increase the tracking response and life of the rollers.
K-Protector® Return Idler Guard is a practical and safe solution to provide roller pinch point protection. The guard is designed for convenient access for maintenance and is available to suit all roller diameters and belt widths and is compliant with Australian Safety Standard AS4024.3610.
